Whitley Lake Sea Defence Feasibility Study 2012-2017
The beach at Whitley Lake in Poole Harbour has been eroding for a
number of years. In places erosion has reached the sea wall and in
time will undermine its foundations.
A five-year
feasibility study aims to identify whether the creation and
stabilisation of saltmarsh foreshore and sandy beach is a suitable and
sustainable sea defence solution for the inner harbour coastline at
Whitley Lake.
